Environment
South Side Café is a classic sit down, short order, diner. The tables can be a little cramped when they are busy, but there is still elbow room.

Food
South Side Café offers everything from breakfast, to burgers, to a 10oz top sirloin steak. To be fair we have only visited them on the weekends for breakfast, however I do intend on visiting them again for lunch or dinner soon. I will post an addition to this write up then.

On a previous visit we ordered their two egg breakfast special which comes with – two eggs(made to order), American fries, and your choice of toast or pancakes for only $3.50.  We chose scrambled eggs, American fries, and the pancakes. The eggs were perfect and had a wonderful buttery taste to them. The American fries were delicious as well but if you want onions with them you will have to request it. The two pancakes we got in place of the toast were decent sized, fluffy, and had a unique flavor that we could not pin point but they were delicious.

Most recently we tried their Country Fried Steak and Eggs breakfast. It is a 6oz beef tender, breaded and fried and smothered with their homemade sausage gravy. It comes with two eggs (made to order), American fries, and toast or pancakes all for only $6.95. This was a good sized country fried steak and like last time the eggs, American fries, and pancakes were wonderful.

If you are looking for a good sit down diner with good food at a good price I would recommend giving South Side Café a try.
